Commissioning Intern - Summer 2027

Location: Remote; California, USA

Salary: $20–$30 USD per hour

What you will do

• Support the building systems commissioning team.
• Prepare project documents and basic commissioning documentation.
• Assist with field visits to project sites.
• Learn how building systems are tested and verified.
• Travel to project sites when necessary and follow construction-site safety requirements.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in engineering or a related field.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and preparing basic documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds and jobsite visits.
• Personal protective equipment is required on construction sites; Salas O’Brien supplies a hard hat, high-visibility vest, and safety glasses as needed.
