Security Engineer (Scrum) (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hampshire, United Kingdom; onsite 5 days per week. Candidates must have the right to work in the United Kingdom and meet applicable UK Government, contractual, residency, and potentially nationality-based personnel security requirements.

What you will do

• Lead the design and implementation of security controls, identity management, and threat-mitigation patterns across cloud and hybrid infrastructures.
• Embed SAST, DAST, software composition analysis, and container scanning into delivery pipelines.
• Work with MOD accreditors, Risk Owners, and project leadership on security-case approvals and risk-management frameworks.
• Guide engineers on vulnerability remediation, secure coding standards, and incident-response preparedness.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, secure systems architecture, and technical security leadership.
• Experience working with MOD accreditors, NCSC guidelines, and cryptographic risk frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of secure networking, encryption standards, IAM, and zero-trust architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or secure MOD-assured cloud environments.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code security and automated vulnerability-management tools.
• CISSP or CISM certification is mandatory; a supplementary cloud security certification is expected.
