Lead Technical Program Manager (AI)

Location: Remote, based in Canada, the US or LATAM, with regular working-hours overlap with London-based teams. Flexible working hours; access to the hirify.global office in The Shard, London.

What you will do

• Own engineering programs for Tier 1 client requests, including intake, scoping, prioritisation input, sequencing, delivery tracking and realistic external commitments.
• Run complex, multi-team programs such as platform releases, feature launches, client integrations and technical migrations.
• Design operating cadences, readiness gates, workback plans, dependency maps, escalation frameworks and trusted status views across the TPM function.
• Translate client needs into clear engineering requirements and explain engineering scope, trade-offs and timelines to client-facing and non-technical stakeholders.
• Resolve cross-team blockers, manage incidents and client interrupts, surface risks early, and produce weekly written status updates for stakeholders and leadership.
• Support OKR tracking, create reusable templates and automations, mentor junior program managers, contribute to TPM hiring, and bring AI-native delivery practices to hirify.global.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, ideally in AI/ML, platform infrastructure or developer tooling.
• Experience independently running complex programs with multi-team dependencies, hard external deadlines and company-level impact.
• Experience owning engineering delivery for enterprise or Tier 1 clients, including managing requests, setting realistic commitments and keeping clients informed without over-promising.
• Technical fluency sufficient to read system architecture and discuss APIs, integration design and platform trade-offs without being the engineer in the room.
• Ability to turn ambiguity, incomplete specifications and competing stakeholder views into clear written framing and a recommended path.
• Ability to communicate at leadership, technical-lead and client-facing levels, with sound judgement about the appropriate level of detail.
• Experience mentoring program managers and creating templates, cadences and norms for a TPM discipline.
• Track record of introducing tools or ways of working that measurably reduce operational overhead.
