Technical Program Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in the United States, with the listed location at the New York, NY headquarters; relocation expense coverage to NYC or SF may be available.

Salary: $180,000–$250,000 per year, plus equity. Final compensation depends on hiring location and level.

What you will do

• Lead large technical programs spanning infrastructure scaling, reliability, and incident response.
• Connect platform and product engineering teams, surface dependencies, and drive execution.
• Own programs from scoping and kickoff through delivery, measurement, and retrospectives.
• Partner with engineering leaders on roadmaps, organizational alignment, and cross-functional priorities.
• Improve incident response processes and facilitate retrospectives.
• Define TPM standards, playbooks, and program practices at Ramp.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical program management experience, ideally in a high-growth startup.
• Hands-on fluency with AI tools such as Cursor or Claude Code and a clear perspective on their impact on software development.
• Strong systems thinking across architecture, product, compliance, timelines, and risks.
• Experience leading cross-functional programs with urgency and ownership.
• Ability to build trust and work effectively across engineering and business teams.
• BA/BS in computer science, engineering, information systems, analytics, or another technical or analytical field.

Nice to have

• Experience with cell-based or multi-region architectures, international expansion, infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, or reliability programs.
• Software engineering background.
• Familiarity with building and deploying LLM-based systems.
