Mission Lead (Autonomous Systems)

Location: Austin, TX, United States; hybrid on-site with up to 30% travel

What you will do

• Lead customer-facing technical programs, demonstrations, pilot programs, integrations, deployments, and operational handoffs.
• Develop integrated program plans covering milestones, schedules, dependencies, resources, risks, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Translate customer mission requirements, operational workflows, and technical constraints into executable project plans.
• Coordinate Engineering, Product, Business Development, Operations, customers, and government stakeholders to resolve technical and operational challenges.
• Track integration progress and deployment readiness while identifying risks, driving decisions, and managing post-deployment support.
• Capture customer feedback and lessons learned to inform product improvements, roadmaps, future capabilities, and expanded deployments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent military or operational experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in technical program management, project management, mission management, deployment management, or related work in technology, defense, or mission-critical environments.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional technical programs from planning and requirements definition through execution, delivery, and operational handoff.
• Technical aptitude in hardware, software, networking, infrastructure, systems integration, autonomous systems, robotics, or unmanned platforms.
• Experience with customer engagement, field deployments, demonstrations, operational environments, and risk and dependency management.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to ITAR regulations, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Nice to have

• Pre-sales, solutions engineering, technical customer engagement, or customer-facing mission execution experience.
• Experience supporting DoD, intelligence community, or other government stakeholders.
• Experience transitioning prototypes, demonstrations, or pilots into operational deployments or sustained customer programs.
• Advanced degree such as an MS or MBA in a relevant discipline.
