Senior Fullstack Engineer (Ruby/Rails)

Location: Remote worldwide; candidates can work from anywhere. Outside Austin, TX, hiring is typically through independent contractor arrangements.

Salary: $150,000–$180,000 per year plus profit share.

What you will do

• Design APIs, solutions, and features for hirify.global.
• Design, maintain, fix, deploy, and monitor APIs, features, and documentation.
• Investigate specific technical issues and develop deep expertise in them.
• Write polished, straightforward, and well-tested code; conduct pull request reviews and support other engineers.
• Troubleshoot customer-reported issues, prioritize roadmap work, and resolve problems before production deployment.
• Write technical blog posts about interesting issues, APIs, and solutions to complex problems.

Requirements

• Senior-level full-stack engineering experience.
• Ability to work with the current stack: Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, and JavaScript.
• Ability to deploy and monitor software on Linux servers on AWS.
• Ability to design APIs and features, troubleshoot issues, review code, prioritize work, and test solutions thoroughly before production deployment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ruby, JavaScript, proxies, CAPTCHA solving, scraping, and/or browser technology.
