What you will do

• Lead, grow, mentor, and performance-manage a team of DevOps engineers.
• Own the team roadmap, outcomes, operational health, and squad quality in partnership with the Director of Engineering and peer engineering managers.
• Manage infrastructure spend and make cost trade-offs explicit in technical design decisions.
• Set measurable goals for reliability, security, developer productivity, throughput, and quality.
• Turn AI-native practices into repeatable team workflows and communicate the group’s goals across engineering and partner teams.
• Own hiring plans, close candidates, and create a repeatable onboarding path.

Requirements

• Experience line-managing engineers, including developing senior engineers and handling performance issues.
• Senior or lead-level experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering, with deep hands-on expertise in at least one of GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Deep experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability, incident management, and security.
• Experience measuring impact and using metrics to set priorities and make decisions.
• Technical credibility in design reviews and architecture decisions.
• Experience standardizing infrastructure, deployment, and security policies without restricting innovation.
• A record of efficient delivery across multiple projects and engineering organizations.
• Experience running and reliably supporting production infrastructure at scale.
• Experience developing others through mentorship and delegation.
• Clear communication and the ability to influence peers and cross-disciplinary partner teams without formal authority.
