Senior Engineering Manager, Cloud Engineering (AI)

Location: Krakow, Poland. Hybrid working model with onsite attendance Tuesday through Thursday each week; additional onsite attendance may be required based on business needs.

Salary: zł 412,000–463,000 per annum.

What you will do

• Lead the Cloud Engineering team across Krakow and the US while building and developing a high-performing engineering organization.
• Champion an AI-first engineering culture by integrating AI agents, MCP tooling, and automated agentic systems into infrastructure management.
• Drive FinOps and cloud cost optimization, balancing cost, performance, and reliability with Finance and Engineering stakeholders.
• Own the infrastructure-as-code strategy for reusable cloud primitives, self-service builder experiences, and repeatable system patterns.
• Architect global, highly resilient infrastructure using edge computing, multi-region, multi-cloud, and hybrid strategies.
• Partner with Security, SRE, Builder Experience, external partners, and cross-functional teams on shared infrastructure, network expansion, VPN setup, and network integration.

Requirements

• Experience leading a multi-team engineering organization distributed across countries and time zones, including hiring senior engineers and developing managers.
• A record of setting multi-year technical strategy for cloud infrastructure and translating it into roadmaps, OKRs, and headcount plans.
• Sound judgment on long-horizon architecture decisions involving account structure, multi-region, and multi-cloud environments at the scale of thousands of accounts.
• Experience building self-service platforms that scale infrastructure without linear headcount growth, measured by adoption across product teams.
• Experience owning cloud spend as a business outcome and making cost, performance, and reliability tradeoffs with Finance and Engineering leadership.
• Ability to operate as a hands-on working manager, including writing code, reviewing architecture, and investigating complex technical problems.
• Clear written communication for aligning senior stakeholders across geographies and functions.
• Software engineering experience in Go or Python for internal services and APIs.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; infrastructure as code using Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation; API-driven control planes; multi-account governance; networking; Kubernetes; GitOps; observability; FinOps; and security and compliance for regulated financial services, including PCI DSS and SOC 2.
