Engagement Manager (AI)

Location: Dallas, Texas, United States; must be based in the New York metro area and able to work onsite with clients several days per week.

What you will do

• Own client engagements from signed SOW through production deployment, adoption, measured impact, renewal, and expansion.
• Act as the day-to-day executive counterpart for client sponsors, managing steering committees, executive updates, stakeholder alignment, and difficult delivery conversations.
• Structure SOWs with scope, milestones, dependencies, acceptance criteria, and value hypotheses; manage cadence, staffing, risks, dependencies, decisions, scope, and priorities.
• Define baselines and KPIs, report measured outcomes, and set quality standards for production readiness, model-backed component evaluation, and acceptance testing.
• Own engagement P&L, staffing mix, utilization, change orders, forecasting, scope control, margin protection, renewals, and expansion opportunities.
• Lead pods of Forward Deployed Engineers and delivery staff, partner with technical leads on architecture and staffing, and codify reusable BFSI delivery playbooks, estimation models, and SOW patterns.

Requirements

• 8+ years of client-facing delivery or consulting experience, including at least 3 years leading engagements or accounts for financial services clients in banking, capital markets, asset management, insurance, or payments.
• Experience owning engagement or account financials, including margin, forecasting, staffing, change orders, and renewals.
• Experience leading at least one AI, ML, or data-platform program into production at an enterprise and explaining the resulting client changes.
• Experience running steering committees, managing managing-director-level sponsors, and retaining accounts through difficult periods.
• Technical fluency sufficient to read architecture diagrams, understand how LLM-based systems are built and evaluated, and challenge weak plans; coding is not required.
• Collaborative leadership style, strong accountability, client commitment, and the ability to motivate teams under delivery pressure.
• Must be based in the New York metro area and able to be onsite with clients several days per week.

Nice to have

• Engagement management experience at a technology consultancy, systems integrator, or AI-native delivery firm, or delivery leadership experience inside a bank or insurer technology or data organization.
• Familiarity with BFSI regulatory requirements, including model risk management, information security, third-party risk, data privacy, and data residency.
• Experience working in a two-in-a-box model alongside a commercial account owner.
