Community Manager

Location: Remote

Salary: $40,000–$60,000 base salary per year, with exact compensation based on location, experience, and cost of living.

What you will do

• Manage multiple branded online communities for premium hosts, supporting smooth operations and member growth.
• Support onboarding by learning each host’s brand voice and audience and aligning communication rhythms, content approval workflows, and role expectations.
• Set up and manage communities, online courses, challenges, and events, including monthly themes, weekly activity calendars, polls, and questions.
• Create newsletters, educational resources, member spotlights, promotional materials, and other content adapted to each host’s voice.
• Welcome members, answer inquiries, resolve issues, guide members through the community, and use automations to improve navigation.
• Coordinate live events and challenges, moderate in real time, monitor analytics, identify trends, and report insights to community strategists and hosts.

Requirements

• Proven experience in marketing and content creation, including crafting narratives that drive engagement and growth.
• Experience with modern community management and an interest in rapidly changing software and practices.
• Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style to different brands and audiences.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to internalize feedback and adapt quickly to each host’s voice and preferences.
• Passion for community building, with empathy and curiosity for developing relationships with hosts and members.
• Confidence participating in and occasionally hosting community calls while representing a host’s brand.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple networks simultaneously.
• Proactive and consistent communication skills for managing relationships with community strategists and hosts.
• Understanding of analytics and a data-driven approach to measuring and improving community health and engagement.
