Community Manager (Gaming)

Location: Remote within Europe and the United Kingdom

Salary: £40,000–£50,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage engagement across multiple communities and platforms, including Discord, Reddit, social media, and community-run sites.
• Build relationships with users, creators, partners, and key community figures while representing the company authentically.
• Communicate policies, business updates, product changes, and relevant gaming and modding developments.
• Support moderation, defuse high-tension situations, and uphold community guidelines consistently.
• Conduct user research, interviews, real-world testing, and quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify problems and opportunities.
• Work with the Product team to create prioritised backlogs, solve user problems, and identify community projects for investment.

Requirements

• Experience managing multiple communities or channels simultaneously, with strong prioritisation and context-switching skills.
• Experience running large community spaces and working independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good understanding of PC gaming and the Steam platform.
• Strong empathy and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle challenging interactions constructively.
• Ability to work remotely from within Europe or the United Kingdom; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SteamDB or GTA V modding.
