TL;DR
Senior Infrastructure Engineer II (AWS/Kubernetes): Owning and improving Kit's core production infrastructure, including databases, Kubernetes, version upgrades, platform tooling, monitoring, and CI/CD, with an accent on reliability, automation, and safe self-service delivery paths. Focus on diagnosing multi-service incidents, reducing cloud costs and alert noise, leading upgrades with minimal customer impact, and building paved paths for engineers, non-engineers, and AI agents.

Location: Remote worldwide; work mostly follows East Coast time, with occasional early mornings or late evenings for people based on the US West Coast, Europe, or Asia. Participation in a three-person on-call rotation is required, including response to pages outside usual working hours.

Salary: $197,000 annual base salary at Level 4, plus $50,000 equity and profit sharing.

Company

hirify.global is a fully remote email marketing and creator marketing platform for coaches, YouTubers, authors, podcasters, and other creatives, combining audience growth, email automation, and digital product sales.

What you will do

  • Own core production infrastructure across AWS, managed relational databases, networking, load balancing, Kubernetes, version upgrades, and platform tooling.
  • Operate Kubernetes in production, including upgrades, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines that engineers can trust.
  • Build monitoring, alerting, runbooks, documentation, and decision write-ups that improve reliability and reduce noisy pages.
  • Diagnose complex multi-service incidents, fix underlying causes, and reduce cloud costs through right-sizing and reserved capacity.
  • Build paved paths and self-service environments that allow engineers, non-engineers, and AI agents to test and ship changes safely.

Requirements

  • Around 7 or more years of experience in infrastructure, platform, DevOps, or SRE roles.
  • Experience running production infrastructure on AWS at scale, including managed relational databases, networking, and load balancing.
  • Production Kubernetes experience covering upgrades, capacity planning, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience managing infrastructure as code and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience building monitoring and alerting that detects real problems early without excessive noise.
  • Experience diagnosing complex multi-service incidents and resolving underlying causes.
  • Experience owning production infrastructure for a product where downtime impacts customers financially.
  • Experience carrying a pager for owned systems and improving on-call reliability over time.
  • Experience leading major upgrades or migrations, such as database or Kubernetes version upgrades, with little or no customer impact; building self-service tooling or paved paths adopted by other engineers; and working on a small infrastructure team without relying on specialists.
  • Ability to write clear runbooks, documentation, and decision write-ups; take ownership, set priorities independently, communicate tradeoffs openly, and use AI thoughtfully with accountability.
  • Willingness to participate in a shared three-person on-call rotation and respond to pages outside usual working hours.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Cloudflare, ephemeral or sandbox environments, or email sending infrastructure.

Culture & Benefits

  • 100% remote work with team members across the globe and reasonable time-zone flexibility.
  • On-call is shared across the team and scheduled around personal lives; PTO takes priority over on-call.
  • 401(k) with a 5% match, equity, medical premium support up to $2,100 per month, and fully covered dental and vision premiums.
  • Equipment allowance, company-provided laptop, $3,500 annual learning and development budget, and a $50 monthly creator meetup budget.
  • Paid time off, holidays, sick time, parental leave, bereavement and medical leave, a winter break closure, and a paid sabbatical after five years.
  • Team retreats twice a year, available in person or virtually, plus gender-affirming and childcare benefits.

Hiring process

  • 30-minute recruiter phone screen followed by a 45-minute hiring manager interview.
  • Take-home assignment and 60-minute technical interview.
  • Applicants should submit a cover letter and answers to the application questions.
