Commercial Accountant (AI)

What you will do

• Prepare monthly management accounts, variance commentary, rolling forecasts, and strategic financial insights for the APAC region and global central functions.
• Execute the month-end close process and maintain accurate revenue forecasts and project management system data.
• Partner with Project Managers to monitor project budgets, identify cost overruns, administer fee estimates, and provide pricing guidance.
• Manage regional sales invoicing and support the execution of client contracts before project commencement.
• Assist with GST returns, statutory accounts, Singapore payroll reconciliations, and regional statutory audits in Singapore and Japan.
• Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and act as the primary contact for central operational activities supporting the APAC Regional Partner.

Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent international qualification.
• At least 3 years of relevant industry experience, including 2 years of post-qualification accounting experience.
• Experience as a Commercial Accountant or Finance Business Partner in a high-growth sports or professional services organization.
• Strong financial modelling, advanced MS Excel, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, quality control, initiative, and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders, Project Managers, Legal, Finance, and operational teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Xero or CMAP and other project management systems.
• AI automation skills.
• Experience contributing to a strong team environment and handling varied ad hoc work.
