Backend Developer / Integration Engineer (Java)

What you will do

• Design and develop backend applications and integration solutions based on microservices architectures.
• Define, develop, and maintain APIs of various types for critical banking processes.
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Architecture, Cloud, technical, and functional teams to meet security, architecture, and software quality standards.
• Contribute to CI/CD, code reviews, testing, technical security reinforcement, and continuous application quality improvement.
• Support banking initiatives involving Risk Management, Anti-Money Laundering, GDPR compliance, and third-party integrations.
• Advance shared components, engineering best practices, automation, and AI-enabled software development.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in technology projects, particularly backend development and integration environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Spring Security, Spring Cloud Config, and microservices-based architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Amazon EKS, DocumentDB, Aurora, KMS, and other AWS cloud services.
• Advanced use of Artificial Intelligence for software development, technical productivity, automation, analysis, and lifecycle support.
• Strong focus on software quality, code reviews, security best practices, and compliance with corporate technical standards.
• English and Spanish are required.
• A collaborative mindset, strong commitment to teamwork, and a results-oriented approach focused on high-quality outcomes.
• Previous experience in financial services projects is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with banking processes, especially Risk Management, Compliance, and third-party integrations.
• Knowledge of SonarQube, Fortify, Trivy, Jira, and Apigee.
• Experience with Devin.
