Product Developer - Lighting

Location: Copenhagen - Nyhavn 20; based in the Copenhagen office.

What you will do

• Manage lighting product development projects from initial concept through production, including timelines, costs, deliverables, tooling, pilot production, and quality control.
• Develop decorative LED lighting solutions involving optics, thermal management, drivers, and dimming technologies.
• Create production-ready 3D models, assemblies, technical drawings, 2D documentation, technical specifications, bills of materials, and test documentation.
• Translate design concepts into technically feasible products, develop and test prototypes, and resolve technical and manufacturing challenges.
• Maintain the original design intent while balancing design, functionality, quality, cost, timelines, technical requirements, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with designers, internal teams, suppliers, and international manufacturing partners, ensuring electrical, safety, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Relevant educational background in Product Development, Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in technical product development, ideally taking products from concept to production.
• Technical knowledge of LED lighting and understanding of relevant electrical, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks, including 3D modelling, assemblies, and technical drawings.
• Experience with prototyping, testing, technical documentation, materials, manufacturing processes, and supplier collaboration.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite for preparing and formatting product documentation.
• Structured, detail-oriented, practical, and solution-oriented approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Ability to collaborate with designers, colleagues, external partners, and international manufacturing partners.
• Confident written and spoken English communication.
