Control Engineer (Wind Turbine)

Location: Ballerup, Hovedstaden, Denmark, with validation activities at the Østerild test site.

What you will do

• Tune wind turbine controllers using MATLAB tools, BHawC aeroelastic simulations, and engineering analysis.
• Analyze simulation and prototype test results to evaluate turbine loads, performance, and behaviour.
• Support new controller functionalities from early simulation studies through prototype validation.
• Improve engineering tools, reports, methods, and processes, and implement agreed improvements.
• Collaborate with Turbine Loads, Certification, Testing, Software, and component design teams while communicating technical findings and progress.

Requirements

• Degree in Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline.
• Relevant engineering experience from industry, research, or technically complex projects.
• Ability to critically evaluate results, challenge assumptions, and raise concerns when findings do not align.
• Strong MATLAB skills.
• Collaborative and responsible working style, with the ability to communicate progress, seek alignment, and take ownership of the overall engineering challenge.
• Fluent English communication skills, written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Experience with, or interest in, Python for engineering tools and data analysis.
• Experience with wind turbines, aeroelastic simulations, control engineering, or prototype measurements.
