Acoustic Engineer (Audio)

What you will do

• Design and select acoustic components and initial enclosure concepts based on product and market requirements.
• Build and evaluate proof-of-concept prototypes to validate acoustic concepts.
• Perform acoustic simulations focusing on SPL, sound quality, and system efficiency, validating results via physical testing.
• Own the technical specification of loudspeaker drivers and collaborate with suppliers for refinement.
• Collaborate with the Audio team on signal handling, including crossovers, compressors, and limiters.
• Support manufacturing verification and acoustic validation of the final product for mass production.

Requirements

• Proven experience designing and simulating loudspeakers, including transducer and enclosure design.
• BSc or higher in Audio, Acoustics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience with loudspeaker simulation and measurements to refine designs.
• Track record of taking loudspeaker development from concept through to verification.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work on-site in Copenhagen, Denmark

Nice to have

• Familiarity with FEM simulations, crossover design, or failure analysis.
• Experience building physical speaker mock-ups.
• Experience collaborating with large-scale loudspeaker manufacturing partners.
