Simulation Engineer (Discrete Event Simulation)

Location: Billund Kornmarken, Denmark. Hybrid work is available under the Best of Both model, with the option to work from home up to two days per week.

What you will do

• Design and manage Discrete Event Simulation models for production and logistics facilities.
• Support the design of new facilities and manufacturing processes across hirify.global Group sites.
• Integrate with long-term engineering and manufacturing project teams.
• Deliver simulation insights, conclusions, and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with colleagues and partners to develop simulation capabilities and advance the technology roadmap.
• Coordinate with suppliers where required.

Requirements

• Experience delivering and managing projects using Discrete Event Simulation tools; Technomatix Plant Simulation is preferred.
• Experience with Manufacturing Systems Modelling, preferably in manufacturing and logistics.
• Programming capability in Python and SQL.
• Experience with statistical analysis and Discrete Event Simulation in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using simulation to support investment decisions and capacity planning.
• Ability to communicate complex simulation results and present practical recommendations to stakeholders.
