Sr. Manager, Media Relations (Remote)

Location: USA - Remote

Salary: $130,000–$200,000 per year, plus eligibility for bonuses and equity grants.

What you will do

• Develop and execute proactive media relations strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Build and leverage relationships with top-tier cybersecurity, technology, business, and financial media.
• Identify, develop, and pitch stories that support market leadership, competitive differentiation, and executive visibility.
• Drive executive media engagement through interviews, feature stories, and thought leadership opportunities.
• Translate complex cybersecurity trends and company innovations into timely narratives.
• Collaborate with executives, cross-functional stakeholders, regional PR teams, and agencies on media strategies, messaging, briefings, and reactive opportunities.

Requirements

• 10–14+ years of public relations experience, including at least 5 years focused on cybersecurity. Current cybersecurity media relations experience is strongly preferred.
• Deep understanding of the cybersecurity industry, competitive landscape, and market trends.
• Established cybersecurity media contacts and relationships with influential technology, business, and financial reporters.
• Proven success developing, pitching, and securing high-impact earned media coverage, including top-tier features and executive profiles.
• Strong news judgment and the ability to identify compelling stories and turn complex developments into meaningful coverage.
• Excellent writing and communication skills for pitches, executive briefing materials, and media messaging.
• Fluency with AI tools and experience applying AI technologies to research, media monitoring, content development, decision-making, workflow improvement, and business outcomes.
• Experience working directly with senior executives and preparing them for high-profile media engagements.
• Collaborative experience across marketing, communications, and technical teams, plus strong organization and attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
