Sr. Public Relations Manager (AI/GEO)

Location: Houston, Texas, with hybrid and remote work models based on proximity to office hubs. Travel and attendance at several team and company-wide offsites are expected.

What you will do

• Build and lead an executive thought leadership program, beginning with the founder and CEO.
• Own the earned media strategy and develop relationships with trade and business press.
• Drive the founder-led content program, including editorial strategy, messaging, and production workflows.
• Lead media partnerships and conference PR for Tektonic, hirify.global's flagship annual industry event.
• Partner with Product and cross-functional teams on product launch narratives, media pitches, and external visibility.
• Develop leader positioning, community-impact stories, sponsorships, and GEO-focused PR measurement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and/or 8+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related field.
• Proven experience building earned media strategies and securing high-quality placements.
• Deep experience in executive communications, thought leadership, or executive visibility programs.
• Experience in B2B, SaaS, or technology communications, preferably for industry-specific or field-based audiences.
• Working understanding of GEO and AI search in PR, with exceptional writing, editing, and messaging skills.
• Executive presence, cross-functional collaboration skills, and experience managing media sponsorships, event partnerships, or conference PR.

Nice to have

• Experience marketing to field-based, non-desk, trade, skilled-trade, or local-service audiences.
• Familiarity with Meltwater, Muck Rack, Cision, and emerging AI visibility tracking tools.
• Curiosity about how AI search affects content discovery, visibility, and trust.
