Tech Project Manager, Video Platforms

Location: Hybrid, 229 West 43rd Street, New York, NY, United States; external candidates may be required to attend an in-person interview at a hirify.global location.

Salary: USD 120,000–150,000 yearly.

What you will do

• Manage video platform technology projects from planning through implementation and launch.
• Build and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, action items, and decision logs.
• Coordinate delivery across Engineering, Product, Operations, Infrastructure, Editorial, Advertising, Cloud, Networking, Data, Ad Technology, Content Management, Digital Operations, and external technology partners.
• Support video ingestion, encoding, transcoding, metadata, playback, content delivery, streaming, distribution, migrations, upgrades, and major releases.
• Coordinate testing, deployment planning, support coverage, documentation, operational handoffs, release management, and production support.
• Prepare portfolio updates, delivery forecasts, dashboards, leadership reports, retrospectives, and post-launch reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of experience in technical project management, project management, delivery management, or a related role.
• Experience managing technology projects involving multiple engineering, product, operations, and business teams.
• Strong experience building and maintaining project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and risk registers.
• Experience coordinating software, platform, infrastructure, or digital technology delivery.
• Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Airtable, or comparable project management tools.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting streaming video, OTT, digital media, video publishing, or content delivery platforms.
• Familiarity with encoding, transcoding, playback, DRM, metadata, CDN delivery, and live streaming.
• Experience supporting production launches, platform migrations, infrastructure upgrades, or live-event readiness.
• Experience working with Portfolio Management, PMO, or centralized planning functions.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern software delivery practices.
• Experience in media, entertainment, sports, news, streaming, or digital publishing environments.
• PMP, Certified ScrumMaster, SAFe, or similar project management certification.
