Product Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Singapore, Singapore; travel domestically and internationally up to 25%

What you will do

• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, technical support, installation, quality, marketing, parts supply chain, and field teams throughout the product service life cycle.
• Improve product serviceability through retrofits, calibration and diagnostics, cost-of-service optimization, reliability improvements, preventive-maintenance optimization, and intellectual-property protection.
• Analyze spares obsolescence risks and coordinate mitigation initiatives with spares planning, sustaining engineering, and operations teams.
• Lead FRU and sub-FRU enablement, develop service kits and installation packages, and support FCO, Tech Talk, Service Bulletin, and BKM deployments.
• Integrate and validate Alpha/Beta systems and retrofits, investigate critical customer issues, and develop detailed plans of action.
• Deliver service readiness reviews, support product life-cycle phase exits, train product-support staff, and capture best-known methods and improvements in knowledge systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, documenting, and/or solving problems with electromechanical assemblies.
• Ability to build expertise in system operation, system integration, and system calibration and diagnostics.
• Ability to analyze data from multiple sources and resolve a wide range of issues using creative and practical approaches.
• Results-oriented approach and strong motivation to excel.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with capital equipment, semiconductor capital equipment, automation systems, robotics, handlers, EFEMs, load ports, or related products.
• Experience with LabVIEW software, data acquisition systems, and precision sensors including accelerometers, displacement sensors, temperature sensors, or interferometers.
