Principal / Senior Engineer, Product Engineering, Technical Operations Management (Automotive Semiconductors)

What you will do

• Lead automotive semiconductor products from tape-out through qualification, release, production ramp, and mass production.
• Drive engineering builds, product characterization, electrical validation, pilot production, manufacturing readiness, and production transfer.
• Collaborate with Design, Test, Reliability, Quality, Foundry, and OSAT teams on product industrialization and customer issue resolution.
• Own product lifecycle management, including yield improvement, quality enhancement, cost optimization, engineering changes, and technical disposition of non-conforming materials.
• Optimize production ATE test programs for quality, test coverage, throughput, and cost, including test-time reduction and multisite optimization.
• Provide technical manufacturing support for RFQs, customer engagements, cost modelling, manufacturing assumptions, and technical feasibility assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, IC Design, Device Physics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of semiconductor industry experience for Senior Engineer or 8 years for Principal Engineer in Product Engineering, Test Engineering, Yield Engineering, or Reliability Engineering.
• Experience in product development within fabless semiconductor companies and collaboration with Foundry and OSAT manufacturing partners.
• Strong ownership mindset, hands-on approach, self-motivation, and ability to deliver results in a dynamic startup environment.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills for working across global and multicultural teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, combining data-driven decision-making with engineering judgment.
• Knowledge of product engineering, NPI execution, product lifecycle management, IC functionality, electrical specifications, system applications, and product performance requirements.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, including Wafer Sort, Assembly, Final Test, Reliability, and Quality operations, as well as statistical analysis of yield, test, and manufacturing data.
• Knowledge of ATE test program development, release, optimization, and production support, preferably using Advantest platforms.
• Knowledge of AEC-Q100 qualification and automotive reliability requirements; working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D, IATF 16949, and ISO 26262.
• Experience with semiconductor failure analysis and advanced screening and data analytics methods including PAT, SBL, Clustering Analysis, and Statistical Screening.
