Material Planning Analyst (Supply Chain and Logistics)

Location: On-site five days a week at the Pontiac, Illinois facility; domestic relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $81,370.00–$122,060.00 per year.

What you will do

• Schedule production and delivery processes in line with productivity and cost-efficiency standards.
• Develop and execute material planning for a product line to ensure material requirements are met within allocated time frames.
• Organize material flows within the manufacturing unit and transfers to and from inventory or warehouse locations.
• Generate forecasts and manage replenishment planning for parts and materials to meet specified service levels.

Requirements

• Knowledge of decision-making and critical-thinking processes, including identifying relevant data, prioritizing concerns, assessing risks, and evaluating alternatives.
• Basic knowledge of Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP), inventory distribution across multiple plants or warehouses, real-time inventory software, inventory management technologies, and replenishment processes.
• Knowledge of internal resource coordination techniques, tools, and applications.
• Basic knowledge of Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP), materials and capacity management, product life cycles, production runs, bills of materials, and related documentation.
• Knowledge of materials handling and management in manufacturing plants, including storage, transportation, packaging regulations, and handling of raw or hazardous materials.
• Planning and organizing skills, including estimating time and resources, managing priorities, maintaining schedules, and applying critical-path concepts.
• Problem-solving skills, including problem analysis, resolution procedures, reporting, and escalation practices.
• Relationship management skills for working with clients, vendors, peers, and internal stakeholders.
• Successful completion of a drug screen is required as a condition of employment.
