Substrate Supply Commodity Manager (Semiconductor Supply Chain)

Location: Hybrid, with on-site work at the assigned hirify.global site in Penang, Malaysia; additional locations include Tokyo, Japan; Chengdu and Shanghai, China; and Hsinchu, Taiwan. Shift 1 (Malaysia).

What you will do

• Plan and manage complex supply chain links, including schedules, materials, forecasts, build plans, and capacity requirements.
• Collaborate with IPG, IFS, planning, and supplier development teams on standard and custom solutions.
• Apply mathematics, statistics, advanced analytics, and optimization modeling to identify patterns and develop cost-efficient strategies.
• Create and maintain data structures, supply chain databases, dashboards, and standardized reporting systems.
• Track performance metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and align reporting with supply chain strategies.
• Manage supply disruption events, communicate adjustments and tradeoffs, and maintain alignment with customer demand priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering, operations research, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in supply chain planning, logistics, or operations management; alternatively, 4+ years with a master’s degree or 2+ years with a PhD.
• Proficiency with advanced analytics tools and optimization modeling techniques.
• Experience developing and maintaining databases, dashboards, and standardized reporting systems.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
• Experience preparing executive presentations, analyzing complex business cases at different levels of detail, and integrating win-win strategies.
• Proficiency communicating in written and verbal Mandarin.
