Remote Control & Autonomous Network Analyst

Location: East Peoria, Illinois, United States; onsite five days a week at the Peoria Proving Grounds. No relocation.

Salary: $97,530–$158,480 per year.

What you will do

• Act as an IT partner to facility, engineering, operations, and autonomous-machine leadership.
• Design, deploy, monitor, and support large-scale outdoor wireless infrastructure, including Wi-Fi, mesh, microwave, cellular, backhaul, and private 5G networks.
• Enable connectivity for autonomous and remotely operated equipment and connected-machine technologies.
• Develop network coverage strategies and RF spectrum utilization plans using spectrum analyzers, site-survey tools, drive-test tools, and diagnostic platforms.
• Manage outdoor infrastructure such as access points, towers, solar-powered network assets, wireless bridges, edge communication devices, and industrial networking equipment.
• Lead cybersecurity, vulnerability remediation, compliance, infrastructure projects, vendor coordination, budgets, stakeholder communications, reliability, and modernization initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or hands-on experience.
• Experience in infrastructure, networking, systems administration, or technical operations.
• Experience supporting enterprise networks and wireless technologies.
• Proven project leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong communication, customer relationship, and problem-solving abilities.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the proving ground.

Nice to have

• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, testing, or industrial environments.
• Knowledge of Cisco networking, wireless mesh, LTE/5G, microwave communications, and RF technologies.
• Experience with autonomous or connected-machine technologies and OT environments.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity, vulnerability management, scripting, and automation tools such as PowerShell and Python.
