Senior Manager, Automation (Power Platform)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid work arrangement with 1–3 days per week on-site and the remaining days remote. Candidates must be legally eligible to work at the specified location and, where applicable, hold a valid work or study permit.

What you will do

• Develop and execute an enterprise automation strategy, identifying opportunities for process optimization and guiding platform roadmaps.
• Lead and mentor a team of Power Platform developers, providing technical guidance and promoting development best practices.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, Python, SQL, and/or Databricks.
• Partner with business and IT stakeholders to translate business needs into automation opportunities and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Analyze and document business processes and establish practices for automation development, quality assurance, and governance.
• Monitor automation trends and emerging technologies, including Generative AI applications, to drive innovation within Enterprise Data Management.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data management or a related field, including 4+ years of automation experience and 3+ years managing direct reports.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Power Platform, particularly Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, including solution architecture, integration, and development best practices.
• Strong understanding of Python, SQL, Databricks, automation architecture, data governance, and related best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver impactful automation solutions that drive business value.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, team mentorship, analytical, detail-oriented, critical-thinking, collaboration, and influencing skills.
• Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions and build consensus across cross-functional teams.
• Commitment to high standards, client focus, relationship-building, and teamwork.
• Legal eligibility to work at the specified location and, where applicable, a valid work or study permit.
