Data Center Manager - Plano, TX

Location: Plano, TX; 100% onsite role.

Salary: $95,000–$105,000 base salary per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits based on eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead data center technicians in daily operations, server maintenance, equipment installation, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and implement operational best practices to maximize efficiency and uptime.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams on client projects and service delivery.
• Inspect and audit data center equipment to maintain performance and reliability.
• Respond to and resolve technical issues and emergencies to minimize downtime.
• Train and mentor junior technicians and support strategic initiatives that improve data center performance and scalability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data center operations, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of data center infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and cooling systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly.
• Experience with data center management tools and software.
• Proficiency with Linux.
• Excellent time management, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead a team.
• Quick decision-making and strong task prioritization.
• Flexibility to work in a 24/7 operational environment, including on-call rotations and after-hours support.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in elevated locations, and meet all physical requirements with reasonable accommodations.

Nice to have

• Hands-on or education-based experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair, computer networking, Python, Bash, Cisco IOS, and/or Juniper JunOS.
• 5+ years of experience in data centers.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• CompTIA Server+, Network+, or equivalent certification.
• Experience leading and mentoring technical teams solving complex infrastructure challenges.
• Curiosity about advances in data center hardware and infrastructure management.
• Expertise diagnosing and resolving critical hardware and network issues under pressure.
