Data Center Operations Technician (AI)

Location: Southaven, MS and Memphis, TN, United States; onsite data center and job-site work is required, including emergency response.

What you will do

• Monitor, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain server and network infrastructure across data centers and global points of presence.
• Install and commission racks, servers, switches, power cabling, and fiber or optical cabling.
• Manage warehouse, spare-parts, hardware asset, receiving, decommissioning, and vendor-return processes.
• Respond to cross-functional data center operations tickets through Jira and maintain standard operating procedures.
• Support initial site construction, hardware staging, provisioning handoff, and customer capacity allocation.
• Define and implement data center network layouts and infrastructure solutions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
• At least 2 years of experience with server, storage, compute, and network hardware.
• At least 2 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing servers and networking infrastructure.
• At least 2 years of experience managing inventory and ordering, receiving, and shipping server and network equipment.
• Available to work evenings and weekends, respond onsite during emergencies, and work at the listed U.S. locations.
• Must pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing, as well as pre-employment and annual post-employment background checks.

Nice to have

• Strong Linux, Bash, shell scripting, filesystem, permissions, package management, process management, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
• On-call experience and experience responding to critical events.
• Experience leading data center infrastructure projects.
• Four or more years of structured copper and fiber cabling experience.
• Four or more years of data center power and cooling experience, plus Oracle and inventory management experience.
