Manager Compliance, Controls and Ethics

Location: Hybrid work across Sydney Olympic Park, Sydney CBD offices and working from home as agreed and required for the role.

What you will do

• Lead and continuously improve the Group Compliance Framework, including obligations management, controls, monitoring and assurance activities.
• Provide practical compliance guidance, training and support to stakeholders across the business.
• Analyse compliance data, identify emerging trends and provide insights to leaders and governance committees.
• Conduct and coordinate investigations with Legal and relevant stakeholders.
• Support and review internal audit activities and assist with audit governance processes.
• Lead and develop a small team while fostering a collaborative, customer-focused and high-performing culture.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience across compliance, audit, governance, investigations, risk or related functions.
• Experience navigating regulated environments, ideally in member-based organisations, consumer services, tourism, mobility or multi-business operations; financial services experience is valuable.
• Strong operational mindset and ability to translate compliance obligations into practical business outcomes.
• Previous people leadership experience.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including experience working with senior leaders.
• Experience with governance frameworks, compliance programs or internal audit processes.
• Successful applicants must complete pre-employment checks.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERM platforms such as Protecht.
• Knowledge of NRMA business operations.
