Senior AI Application Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; listed location is New York, NY, United States. Some travel may be required for client, stakeholder, or off-site meetings. Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Base salary: USD 178,000–215,000 yearly; applicable only to select U.S. locations and not to locations outside the U.S.

What you will do

• Architect, design, and implement scalable multi-agent systems that automate complex, multi-step business processes.
• Translate existing processes into agentic solutions and develop multi-agent architectures for new opportunities.
• Implement agentic applications using orchestration frameworks such as Google ADK, LangGraph, and CrewAI.
• Design secure tool-calling architectures connecting LLMs with internal databases, CRMs, and APIs.
• Implement LLMOps and AgentOps practices while optimizing data pipelines that provide context to AI systems.
• Mitigate prompt injection, hallucination loops, unauthorized tool execution, and other AI-specific security risks.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 1–7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with MCP architectures and proficiency in Rust.
• Deep understanding of agentic design patterns, including ReAct, Plan-and-Solve, Reflection, and Tree of Thoughts.
• Extensive experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Gemini, plus open-weight models such as Llama 3 and Mistral.
• Experience with vector and graph databases and RAG architectures, including GraphRAG and hybrid search.
• Strong background in cloud architecture using AWS, GCP, or Azure, and containerization with Docker or Kubernetes.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying multi-agent architectures at enterprise scale.
• Expert-level proficiency in Rust.
• 3+ years specifically in generative AI, LLMs, or cognitive architectures.
• Extensive experience with RAG architectures, including GraphRAG and hybrid search.
