R&D Staff Hardware Engineer

Location: USA-CA San Jose Innovation Drive

Annual base salary: USD 121,900–195,000. Additional discretionary annual bonus and equity awards may be available.

What you will do

• Design, develop, deliver, and validate ultra high-performance electronic products.
• Own all aspects of electrical hardware design, including BOM creation, vendor negotiator participation, circuit and board design, development, and validation.
• Support the full product lifecycle from development through product shipment, customer trials, field issues, and product sustaining.
• Collaborate with Hardware, ASIC, Signal, Mechanical, Thermal, Diagnostic, Packaging, and Manufacturing engineers.
• Interact extensively with partner engineering teams on joint development programs.
• Work with Manufacturing, Compliance, and Safety support groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 8+ years of related experience.
• Experience with large, high-powered SoCs based on advanced silicon and packaging process technologies, including 2D, 2.5D, and 2.5D with 3D memories.
• Experience using precision scopes, analyzers, and development and validation tools.
• Experience addressing power and thermal issues associated with PCBs with 1kW+ footprints.
• Experience with high-speed and high-density signaling using 112G+ SerDes rates.
• Participation in cross-functional development teams.
• Experience working with Manufacturing, Compliance, and Safety support groups.
