Manager, Finance - External Reporting (Hybrid)

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; hybrid with office attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Other listed location: Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Role is in the United States.

Salary: $109,000–$145,000 annually, plus potential eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Manage the end-to-end preparation and coordination of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including financial statements, footnote disclosures, MD&A, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain external reporting calendars, disclosure checklists, and filing timelines.
• Coordinate inputs from stakeholders across the organization and work with external auditors during reviews, audits, and controls testing.
• Manage, coach, and develop assigned team members while setting priorities and providing feedback.
• Support SOX compliance, disclosure controls, and internal control activities related to external reporting.
• Improve disclosure quality and reporting efficiency, including optimization of Workiva and other reporting technology.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent experience.
• Eight years of accounting or finance experience, including three years of supervisory or management experience.
• Strong people management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with diverse audiences.
• Organizational and prioritization skills.
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, and financial business systems.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Public-company SEC reporting experience, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K, related disclosures, and MD&A.
• Life insurance experience.
• Experience with Workiva.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in evolving or ambiguous environments, establish priorities and processes, and lead and develop a team.
