Design / Drafting, Associate Specialist (CAD)

Location: Hybrid in Wildomar, California; employees must work and reside in California unless otherwise noted. The employee reports to an SCE facility for a set number of days and may work remotely on the remaining days.

Salary: $33.46–$50.19 per hour.

What you will do

• Create accurate CAD drawings, diagrams, maps, plans, and models for utility distribution and telecommunications systems.
• Produce visualization deliverables such as profiles, schematics, renderings, animations, and construction documentation.
• Use geographic surveys, photogrammetry, and geospatial data in drawings and models.
• Complete load flow, short circuit, power quality, cable pulling, voltage drop, and flicker analyses.
• Support work-order costing, labor estimates, service requests, permit-related documentation, and review of planner redlines.
• Prepare and revise designs based on field information, evaluate electrical clearances, and ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in CAD drafting or completion of a CAD certificate or equivalent CAD coursework.
• Protect physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets and properly manage private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other sensitive information with integrity.

Nice to have

• Experience with Autodesk Utility Design (AUD).
• AutoCAD certification.
• Experience with SAP, S4HANA, WorkIt, and SharePoint.
• Experience with permit requests.
• Experience with electric utility design.
• Experience with customer service.
