Design Specialist (Creo)

Location: Onsite in Phoenix, Arizona; U.S. citizenship and residency required.

Salary: $40.00–$46.80 per hour, with limited benefits.

What you will do

• Develop mechanical and electromechanical concepts for existing product lines and new product development programs.
• Prepare moderately complex layouts, schematics, sketches, test plans, procedures, and specifications.
• Create drawing packages in accordance with military or equivalent ASME standards.
• Review drawings, documentation, calculations, dimensions, tolerances, materials, finishes, and design changes for accuracy, compliance, and producibility.
• Perform technical calculations, including tolerance studies, mass and section properties, and static and dynamic loading.
• Identify assembly interference, design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies, and collaborate with internal or external customers on technical solutions.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and residency are mandatory.
• Associate degree or certification in engineering drafting/design, or equivalent training and experience.
• At least six additional years of drafting and design experience, including at least two years of design work.
• Current Creo experience is required, including modeling and fully associative drawing creation.
• Experience creating model-centric models and drawings in Creo.
• Knowledge of design standards, configurations, computer-aided design methods, and engineering or military standards.
