Senior Engineer - Decision Scientist (AI)

What you will do

• Implement optimization, data science, machine learning, and AI solutions for Supply Chain decision support in line with architectural decisions, responsible AI practices, and enterprise standards.
• Design, develop, and maintain reproducible data preparation, feature-engineering, modeling, scoring, and orchestration workflows using Python, SQL, Databricks, and approved cloud services.
• Develop statistical, forecasting, optimization, anomaly detection, natural language processing, and generative AI approaches for Supply Chain data.
• Work with Business Product Owners and cross-functional fusion teams to define requirements, analytical questions, success measures, and acceptance criteria.
• Validate, monitor, explain, troubleshoot, and deploy models and analytical services through pipelines, APIs, dashboards, and workflow applications.
• Ensure security, privacy, performance, scalability, monitoring, integrations, data quality, and dependable production operation while experimenting with emerging tools and supporting Supply Chain users.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with modern technologies in operations research, data science, machine learning, statistical analysis, and data integration.
• 5+ years of experience creating end-to-end data science or machine learning solutions handling large data volumes and supporting Supply Chain decisions, business analytics, or operational products.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Python, SQL, data preparation, model development, and reproducible analytical workflows.
• Proficiency in optimization, simulation, operations research, or scenario planning for cost, sourcing, supplier, inventory, logistics, or allocation decisions, with experience using solvers such as Gurobi.
• Practical experience with AWS, Apache Spark, Databricks, AWS Redshift, S3, and orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or AWS Step Functions.
• Experience with technical design, model and application development, code reviews, code quality, deployment, security, release practices, and monitoring using tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, or Grafana.
• Strong understanding of DevOps, MLOps, CI/CD, agile methodologies, Git, functional and non-functional requirements, security, privacy, performance, scalability, explainability, and responsible AI.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems, identify root causes, understand business needs, communicate effectively, collaborate across functions, and work in changing Supply Chain fusion teams.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools as assistants in data science workflows, with judgment regarding quality, review standards, experimentation, and appropriate use.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with machine learning, generative AI, prompt engineering, model evaluation, AI governance, and responsible AI.
• Experience using GitHub Copilot in secure development workflows.
• Experience transforming large-scale applications or modernizing analytical products.
• Experience in Supply Chain, manufacturing, logistics, procurement, supplier development, planning, or supplier risk.
• Experience building production workflows with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, AI agents, retrieval, tool calling, evaluation, or agentic pipelines.
