IT Strategy Consultant (Cloud)

What you will do

• Deliver value in multidisciplinary, complex consulting engagements by analyzing issues and developing innovative solutions.
• Define IT strategies, key outcomes, conceptual solutions, and roadmaps based on customer current-state analysis.
• Advise customers on strategic choices involving major cloud and non-cloud technologies, including virtualization and containers.
• Plan and execute design and implementation work while managing time, cost, quality targets, milestones, and stakeholder expectations.
• Develop intellectual property, assets, tools, methodologies, and white papers, and capture lessons learned from engagements.
• Assemble and lead consultants and architects and spearhead modernization programs across people, culture, process, and technology.

Requirements

• Consulting experience with an IT professional services Big Four firm or similar background focused on IT strategy enablement.
• Knowledge of major cloud technologies, including virtualization, containers, and networking, across different cloud platforms.
• Subject matter expertise in at least three domains, such as cloud computing, IT strategy, infrastructure, IT operations, applications, enterprise architecture, solution architecture, automation, data management, AI/ML, IoT, or cloud governance models.
• Data modeling and analytical experience using common tools such as Excel or Tableau.
• Experience with issue-based analysis, structured data collection, structured conclusions, recommendations, and roadmaps.
• Knowledge of IT operating models and process frameworks, with broad competency awareness and depth in areas such as IT strategy, enterprise architecture, solution architecture, process reengineering, or automation.
• Ability to lead and facilitate workshops and interviews, with strong presentation skills.
• Understanding of DevSecOps, Agile, and Scrum constructs to identify inefficiencies through readiness assessments and develop optimization strategies for IT or cloud resources and capabilities.
• Customer focus, a growth mindset, and an inclusive, collaborative approach.

Nice to have

• Experience in IT and/or cloud technology architecture, service management, and/or resiliency.
• ITSM and ITIL or COBIT certification.
• Business case, ROI, and TCO analysis skills for validating IT strategy.
• Experience leading workshops and interviews for discovery and assessment engagements.
