Product Engineer 1

Location: Anderson, South Carolina, United States; office-based role with required international travel.

What you will do

• Manage multiple product development projects from early concept through mass production.
• Coordinate daily technical and project communications between engineers and non-technical stakeholders in Anderson and international locations.
• Drive product design against market requirements, cost, timing, reliability, and high-volume manufacturing objectives.
• Evaluate design alternatives and lead the integration of components and assemblies, material selection, packaging, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop product, performance, and testing specifications and lead design, safety, quality, and project reviews.
• Apply Value Analysis, FMEA, design of experiments, design for manufacture, assembly and inspection, CAD analysis, and 3D design tools; conduct patent searches and support patent development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Ability to communicate technical details and concepts to engineers and non-technical team members.
• Ability to manage product execution through mass production and address cost, timing, reliability, manufacturing, safety, regulatory, and standards requirements.
