Mechanical Engineer

Location: Fully onsite in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States. Candidates must live within commuting distance of the facility. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; regular onsite attendance is required.

What you will do

• Review and process application requests for mechanical seal products.
• Prepare detailed drawing office requests and application instructions for layout and detail drawings.
• Use CAD to create proposal drawings and support collaboration with global drawing offices.
• Perform engineering calculations, including heat generation, torque values, thrust loads, and flow rates.
• Prepare engineering proposals and specifications for standard and custom products and designs.
• Support Sales, Service, and Aftermarket teams with troubleshooting, commissioning, engineering changes, and technical guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline; Mechanical Engineering is highly preferred.
• At least two years of experience with mechanical seals and/or rotating equipment is preferred.
• Working knowledge of personal computing, CAD, and application software; Solid Edge is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities.
• Must live within commuting distance of the Baton Rouge facility and work onsite regularly.
