Associate Financial Advisor

Location: Vancouver, BC; full-time onsite work at the Vancouver-400 Burrard St. Commerce Pl. Main Banking Centre. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends and at multiple banking centres within a reasonable travel distance is required.

What you will do

• Meet personal and small business clients to understand their priorities and recommend personalized financial, investment, credit, and retail banking solutions.
• Manage a portfolio of mortgage clients individually or as part of a team, with a focus on deepening client relationships.
• Develop client relationships through networking, marketing, outreach, family and friend referrals, and community banking centre events.
• Identify opportunities with existing and potential clients and refer them to appropriate Imperial Service and Business Banking partners.
• Introduce clients to mobile banking applications and help them manage their banking needs through technology.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience providing financial advice to clients and achieving sales results through advice-based conversations.
• Current accreditation and good standing in a Mutual Funds License through the Canadian Securities Course or Investment Funds in Canada.
• Eligibility to meet CIRO-MFD licensing requirements.
• Client-first approach, goal orientation, critical thinking, attention to detail, relationship-building ability, curiosity, and commitment to trust, teamwork, and accountability.
• Legally eligible to work at the specified location; a valid work or study permit is required where applicable.
• Flexibility to work banking centre hours, including evenings and weekends, and to travel between multiple banking centres within a reasonable distance.

• Current accreditation and good standing in CFSA (Certificate of Financial Services Advice).
