Associate Financial Advisor (Mandarin/Cantonese)

Location: On-site full-time in Scarborough, ON, with flexibility to work at multiple banking centres within a reasonable travel distance; banking centre hours may include evenings and weekends.

What you will do

• Meet personal and small business clients, understand their priorities, and recommend personalized financial solutions and forward-looking financial plans.
• Address clients’ investment, financial, credit, and mortgage needs through retail banking advice or referrals to Imperial Service and Business Banking colleagues.
• Build and deepen client relationships through networking, outreach, referrals, and community and banking centre events.
• Identify opportunities with existing and prospective clients through outbound calls and advice-based conversations.
• Introduce clients to mobile banking applications and support their digital banking needs.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience providing financial advice to clients and achieving sales results through advice-based conversations.
• Commitment to obtaining CIRO-MFD registration licensing within 90 days of hire and meeting applicable Canadian securities registration requirements.
• Strong client focus, goal orientation, critical thinking, attention to detail, relationship-building ability, curiosity, and commitment to learning.
• Mandarin and Cantonese language capability as specified by the role.
• For Quebec certification: current AMF licensing accreditation in good standing, completion of the Canadian Investment Funds Course (CIFC) or Canadian Securities Course (CSC), and Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC) qualification.
• Legal eligibility to work at the specified location and, where applicable, a valid work or study permit.

• Completion of the CSI/ICB Investment and Taxation Fundamentals Course – Quebec (0774).
• Completion of the CSI/ICB Legal & Ethical Aspects of Financial Planning Course (0790).
