Structured Finance Investment Analyst (RMBS & CMBS)

Location: New York, United States; hybrid working model with time split between the office and home discussed during the application and interview process.

Salary: $133,000–$206,000 per year, excluding incentive compensation and other remuneration.

What you will do

• Evaluate new-issue transactions and conduct ongoing surveillance of existing RMBS and CMBS portfolio holdings.
• Formulate high-conviction investment recommendations based on relative value and account risk tolerances.
• Review offering memoranda and interpret legal and structural provisions.
• Underwrite collateral, including property-level cash flows, DSCR, LTV, and sponsor quality.
• Build and maintain cash flow models to assess structure and credit.
• Lead data-integrity efforts across portfolio management and trading systems.

Requirements

• Prior experience at a rating agency or buy-side investment firm with proven expertise in mortgage-backed securities, including CMBS and/or RMBS.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Highly proficient in Excel and industry-standard tools such as Intex, Trepp, and Bloomberg.
• Strong integrity, fiduciary responsibility, client focus, and teamwork.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and optimize workflows while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
