Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Pasadena, Texas, United States; onsite, full-time.

What you will do

• Provide technical support and troubleshoot manufacturing issues while acting as a liaison between Manufacturing and Engineering.
• Create and maintain engineering and manufacturing documentation, including routings.
• Lead and support process improvement, quality control, lean manufacturing, and capital expenditure projects.
• Manage and report KPIs in line with corporate policies and procedures.
• Investigate labor variances, correct standards, and implement process change requests.
• Identify and implement productivity improvements involving equipment, manufacturing methods, and workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of engineered-to-CNC manufacturing experience, including machining, CNC lathes, and mills.
• Previous experience in an ISO-controlled work environment and with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OSHA 18001 business management systems.
• Experience writing quality variance requests and working in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience with cost reduction, quality improvement, throughput improvement, project management, and process improvement projects.
• Ability to use Solid Edge software.
• Experience with Haas and Mazak machines and associated tooling.
• Hands-on production experience on a machine shop floor.
• Detail-oriented problem-solving ability.
