Assistant Project Manager (Electrical)

Location: Omaha, Nebraska, onsite; ability to work outside and at the job site most of the time is required, with frequent visits to outdoor construction sites.

What you will do

• Support the senior project management team and work closely with Project Managers on electrical construction projects.
• Develop project management techniques and track schedules to meet project requirements.
• Initiate and track change orders, maintaining communication between field management and owners regarding scope changes.
• Support third-tier subcontractors, project budgets, and Schedule of Values preparation and submission.
• Oversee Project Engineers handling RFIs, submittals, quantity takeoffs, and material tracking.
• Support project closeout, Quality Control, electrical construction, and commissioning activities.

Requirements

• 3+ years of project management experience in the electrical construction industry.
• Proficiency with project management software, including Microsoft 365, Accubid, and Bluebeam.
• Knowledge of CAD/BIM software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety and quality, with NFPA 70E or OSHA certifications.
• Ability to work outside and at the job site most of the time.
• Ability to work in indoor offices and outdoor construction environments, including exposure to weather extremes, noise, dust, chemicals, ladders, scaffolding, stairs, and lifts.
• Compliance with applicable safety regulations, PPE requirements, and hirify.global Environmental Health and Safety policies.

Nice to have

• Mission-critical data center construction experience is highly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and industry standards is advantageous.
