Staff Design Manager, Materials (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead infrastructure and tool-install projects from conceptualization and feasibility through funding, detailed design, construction, and production.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into clear project objectives, scope, documentation, and execution plans.
• Manage permitting, construction documents, transmittals, RFIs, change management, and engineering services during construction.
• Coordinate schedules, resources, procurement, construction partners, and customer requests across multidisciplinary teams.
• Define project delivery strategies, including design-bid-build, integrated project development, and fast-track projects.
• Lead feasibility studies, value engineering, options analysis, and innovative design approaches for aggressive construction schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in architectural, civil, mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience managing multidisciplinary scopes within A/E or design engineering firms.
• Experience designing manufacturing facilities and site infrastructure, including buildings, utilities, and manufacturing equipment installation.
• Strong project and program management skills, with the ability to execute multiple complex projects in parallel.
• Knowledge of engineering disciplines, codes, jurisdictions, BIM, and lean construction principles.
• Ability to work on-site at the TRIC factory in McCarran/Reno, Nevada.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer or Registered Architect license.
• Experience with infrastructure and tool-install projects.
