Bodily Injury Attorney - Insurance Defense

Location: Hybrid role requiring office time at 5301 Waterford District Drive, Suite 200, Miami, FL 33126. Applicants must be eligible to work lawfully in the United States immediately; hirify.global does not sponsor U.S. work opportunities. Travel to job-related activities is required, and irregular hours may be necessary.

Potential starting salary: $117,500–$160,000 per year, based on skills, background, and experience. Potential yearly incentive pay has a 16% target and 24% maximum.

What you will do

• Handle bodily injury insurance-defense litigation and other legal assignments under Law Department guidelines.
• Prepare and summarize reports for legal proceedings.
• Develop cases and trial strategies.
• Attend and participate in trials, mediations, depositions, hearings, and other litigation events.
• Manage assigned files and work efficiently with cases in electronic form.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of litigation experience, preferably involving insurance defense with bodily injury, medical malpractice, or personal injury matters; experience as an Assistant Public Defender or Assistant State Attorney is also accepted.
• Knowledge of local and state discovery rules, trial procedures, and applicable substantive law appropriate to the level of experience.
• Experience with trials, mediations, and depositions.
• File ownership and effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently with cases in electronic form.
• Working knowledge of case management and document storage systems.
• Law degree from an A.B.A.-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• Active license to practice law in Florida and membership in good standing with the State Bar of Florida.
• Must be eligible to work lawfully in the U.S. immediately. Attorneys must cease all outside practice and suit involvement before joining hirify.global, except for authorized and pro bono work.
