Associate Attorney (Insurance Coverage)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; remote, hybrid, or onsite work options are available.

Salary: $100,000–$145,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Develop case strategies for insurance coverage, UIM, bad faith, auto, premises, products, construction, and complex bodily injury matters.
• Independently manage court appearances, depositions, discovery, motion practice, and trials.
• Handle a full litigation caseload from discovery through trial.
• Communicate professionally with clients and build relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff across experience levels.
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to team development.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar license in the state of Washington.
• 3–5 years of Washington litigation experience, including Washington UIM matters and exposure to first-party bad faith or insurance coverage.
• At least 3 years of insurance defense experience and solid experience with case strategy, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Ability to independently manage a full caseload and familiarity with litigation timekeeping and billing systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with strong written, verbal, interpersonal, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with coverage opinions, claims management, policy drafting, regulatory issues, or complex insurance disputes.
• Interest in developing a broader and more versatile insurance litigation practice.
