Software Engineer, Infrastructure

What you will do

• Own infrastructure projects from definition through delivery across hirify.global’s multi-tenant platform and single-tenant environments.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines for speed, cost efficiency, and flexibility.
• Automate setup, teardown, partial teardown, and updates for single-tenant stacks.
• Improve performance, migrations, and capacity for the multi-tenant PostgreSQL production database.
• Increase infrastructure cost visibility and reduce spend while strengthening workload and container isolation and compliance.
• Build customer-facing infrastructure capabilities including private connectivity, customer-defined networking, and easier-to-operate single-tenant deployments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production infrastructure, including on-call responsibilities.
• Strong Kubernetes operations knowledge, including scheduling, networking, and failure modes.
• Solid AWS fundamentals, including EKS, RDS, VPC networking, and IAM.
• Experience with infrastructure as code, ideally Terraform.
• Ability to write and read enough application code to modify a pipeline, controller, or service.
• Ability to turn vague, long-standing problems into shippable solutions independently.
• Clear technical writing skills, including design documents and runbooks usable by engineers outside infrastructure.
• Ability to improve the people around you, regardless of formal title.

Nice to have

• Depth in networking, including VPC design, PrivateLink, peering, DNS, TLS and certificate management, or agentic sandboxing.
• Depth in databases, including PostgreSQL replication, tuning, connection pooling, major version upgrades, and migrations under load.
• Depth in deployment systems, including CI/CD platform ownership, build performance and cost, release management, and artifact management.
