Databricks Solutions Architect Associate Director

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. Hybrid work is required, combining in-person work in local hirify.global offices and on client sites with remote work; local or out-of-state travel may be required.

Salary: $152,000–$259,000 per year, plus a 16% bonus target. Estimated total cash range: $176,320–$300,440.

What you will do

• Design and deliver modern data engineering solutions using Databricks and related technologies.
• Lead client engagements, oversee project work plans, and manage delivery across diverse industries.
• Develop data strategies, assess existing platforms, and design future-state data architectures.
• Plan and execute migrations from on-premises, cloud, and legacy systems to Databricks.
• Build client relationships, identify new opportunities, and support proposals and business development.
• Mentor teams, provide performance guidance, and contribute to training and thought leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as MIS, CIS, or Analytics.
• 9+ years of experience in professional services or a related industry.
• Professional Databricks certification is required: Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional or Databricks Certified Machine Learning Professional.
• Expertise in SQL and Spark, including PySpark and Spark SQL, with strong data engineering, modeling, governance, security, and platform architecture skills.
• Experience leading teams, managing client relationships, communicating with senior executives, and pursuing business development opportunities.
• Availability for hybrid work in Minneapolis, office and client-site attendance, and potential local or out-of-state travel is required.

Nice to have

• Databricks Champion certification.
• Experience with Mosaic AI, MLflow, model serving, generative AI, data science, or machine learning.
• Experience with C#, Java, Scala, R, DAX, MDX, or M.
