Social Media Manager

Location: Quantico, Virginia; full-time, on-site position

hirify.global is hiring for social media support for the Portfolio Acquisition Executive - Marine Corps.

What you will do

• Manage and develop social media content as the subject matter expert on social media strategy, trends, visuals, and audience engagement.
• Maintain a social media content calendar covering at least the next two weeks and submit it weekly to the Government lead for approval.
• Develop and execute Government-directed social media campaigns aligned with the command mission, Office of Public Affairs Communication Social Media Strategy, and industry best practices.
• Maintain command presence across social media platforms and disseminate approved content consistently and professionally.
• Create graphics and short-form video products using appropriate branding guidance; provide on-site, in-the-moment content and same-day longer-form posts at command events.
• Monitor comments, direct messages, and engagement opportunities; support quarterly and annual metrics reporting and prepare ad-hoc analyses for posts, events, and campaigns.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• Five years of experience in social media management and content creation.
• Strong understanding of Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms and their best practices.
• Proven ability to create engaging, high-quality social media content.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Experience with social media analytics and reporting tools.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite and video editing software.
